New Metamorphose: Regimental Stripe

While checking my blogs last night I noticed that Meta's English blog had been updated, I clicked, not expecting much, but was blown away wen I saw their newest print line. Regimental Stripe! The print itself is beautiful, it's elegant and simple, which is a surprise. While I was on their blog, scrolling down the print close-up, I was expecting there to be a big, clustery, jumble of a hemline print, but I was very wrong! The prints are just straight up stripes, which is a rarity in Lolita. And, the cuts of all the dresses look incredible. They are, in my opinion, a little on the short side, but check out that skirt and vest combo in the 3rd image, it's just awesome. And don't get me started on how cool it is to see some boystyle clothes outside of Alice and the Pirates! Thank you Meta, you are often the brand of questionable taste, but you really know how to make up for it.

  1. Oh yes boystyle! That pattern is fantastic, somehow I find vertical stripes very appealing.

  3. While there's not a lot of resemblance, have you seen this: http://fotologue.jp/petty-dolls

That's a Mugendou (http://pino.pupu.jp/) design. I don't think the name is a coincidence although the designs are pretty distinct. But, I wish Meta actually copied the whole thing because Mugendou's dresses are amazing.

  4. The name "Regimental Stripe" is just in reference to the types of stripes, BtSSB also released a couple striped dresses a few years ago with the same name, and if you google "regimental stripe" it's just a style of stripe. The designs of the dresses are pretty standard Lolita retro inspired as well. XD I don't think Meta copied the doll dress, as they look nothing alike (I do wish I could get ahold of a people sized dress that those dolls are wearing!) and are simply using the same general style of stripe and instead of coming up with a unique dress name, both have just decided to use the stripe style as the name of the dress.

Thanks for the link though! I haven't seen it and I do love BJD photo websites
